5½” diameter Chestnut bowl with bark inclusions
The cracks and bark inclusion on the outside of this bowl make me think of the sun – sun rays, and the roiling surface of the sun. This little bowl would be perfect for nuts, candies, or other treats. You could also use it for jewellery, or keys, or change from your pockets. The foot raises it off the table, giving it a touch of elegance that contrasts nicely with the rustic bark inclusions.
The wood for this bowl came from a tree in my front yard.
